From the beginning of the 20th century, the company established itself as a pioneer: in 1915, Fritz Hansen introduced its first bentwood chair and in 1930 became one of the world leaders in plywood. In 1934, a decisive collaboration began with the designer Arne Jacobsen. This gave rise to creations that became legendary, such as the Egg armchair and the Swan armchair, designed for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. True icons of modern design, these seats combine elegance, comfort, and technical innovation. Arne Jacobsen also designed the Grand Prix chair, awarded at the Milan Triennale, as well as the famous Ant chair, created in 1952 for Novo Nordic.
